Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W Opening and Ending References


References in the opening:
The poses done by the characters in the opening are based on the transformation poses of various Kamen Riders, super heroes in a series of Japanese television shows called "Kamen Rider" (仮面ライダー). Additionally, most of these poses are poses previously used on the covers of the "Haiyore! Nyaruko-san" light novel series. Post for reference:

Nyaruko is mimicking Kamen Rider Fourze from "Kamen Rider Fourze" (仮面ライダーフォーゼ), the twenty second "Kamen Rider" show in the "Kamen Rider" series. It aired from 2011 to 2012.


Nyaruko is mimicking Kamen Rider 1 from "Kamen Rider" (仮面ライダー), the first show in the "Kamen Rider" series. It aired from 1971 to 1973. Additionally, Nyaruko makes this pose on the cover of volume 2 of the light novel series. Image for reference:

Mahiro is mimicking Kamen Rider Agito from "Kamen Rider Agito" (仮面ライダーアギト), the 11th show in the series. It aired from 2001 to 2002. Specifically, Nyaruko is mimicking Agito's transformation pose that he does starting in episode 15. Additionally, Nyaruko makes this pose on the cover of volume 5 of the light novel series. Cthune is mimicking Kamen Rider ZX from "Juugou Tanjou! Kamen Raidaa Zenin Shuugou!!" (10号誕生!仮面ライダー全員集合!!), "Birth of the 10th! Kamen Riders All Together!!", a TV special episode that aired in 1984. Luhy is mimicking Kamen Rider Super-1 from "Kamen Rider Super-1" (仮面ライダースーパー1), the seventh show in the series. It aired from 1980 to 1981.S3 Additionally, Nyaruko makes Kamen Rider ZX's pose on the cover of volume 8 of the light novel series, and she makes Kamen Rider Super-1's pose on the cover of volume 10. Tamao is mimicking Kamen Rider Black from "Kamen Rider Black" (仮面ライダーBLACK), the eighth show in the series. It aired from 1987 to 1988. Yoichi is mimicking Kamen Rider Black RX from "Kamen Rider Black RX" (仮面ライダーBLACK RX), the ninth show in the series and a direct sequel to "Kamen Rider Black". It aired from 1988 to 1989. Additionally, Nyaruko makes Kamen Rider Black's pose on the cover of volume 9 of the light novel series, and she makes Kamen Rider Black RX's pose on the cover of the limited edition release of volume 9 of the light novel series. The other students in Mahiro's class are mimicking, from left to right, Kamen Rider 1, Kamen Rider 2, Kamen Rider V3, Kamen Rider Agito, Kamen Rider Amazon, and Riderman. The game system that Nyaruko and Cthuko are playing with is based on the Mega Drive video game console equipped with the Mega CD and Super 32X attachments.S2 The Mega Drive, also known as the Sega Genesis, was released by Sega in 1988. The Mega CD (Sega CD) was released in 1991 and added a CD-ROM drive to the Mega Drive. The Super 32X (Sega Genesis 32X) was released in 1994 and increased the capabilities of the Mega Drive.
